TURNING A 10-FIGURE COMPANY AROUND
Pete Sauerborn uses the narrative he built with Chris to land the COO role at Toast, a $20B company. Prior to this role, Pete became Chairman of FTD in 2022 and in 2023, he parachuted in as the new CEO with only five days notice. I’m also the host of The Storied Future Podcast where I interview leaders – from NASA, Bain, Netflix, Microsoft, and more – who have put new narratives out into the world and then used those narratives to shift the future.
For the past seven years, I have also led storytelling pro bono for The Bar X Project, a nonprofit serving combat-wounded Marines. I live with my wife, Michele, and two teenagers outside of Seattle at the foothills of the Cascade Mountains.
